The Righteousness of God

The Righteousness of God

Who among all of the human race is righteous? Who among us is holy? Is it the Guru, Man God’s of India? Is it the Man God, in Rome, the Pope? Is it the prosperity or evangelical preacher’s? Who among all the humans of the world are righteous? Ask yourself is your preacher or priest righteous? Ask yourself, have you ever met anyone, anywhere, at anytime you truly believe was righteous? Each and every one of us knows we are not righteous.

Yet we all pretend we are. There is not one person on this planet, not one. No man on earth is righteous. God is the only righteousness that man knows about. Man lives in the dark of his on delusions he calls reality and pretends he chose the righteous path.

In the darkness of man’s mind lives the confusion of chaos. The war between what is right and what is wrong. Our descendants having eaten of the tree of knowledge of Good and Evil, defying the Living God. They left us to the pull of good and evil without being prepared for it.

As babes you are feed with the milk of the word of God. But now is the time for men to step forward and be men. To eat the meat of the Word of God and believe.

The world screams murder and as believers in the Living God and as followers of the Living God are you to stand by while the enemies of God proclaim he is nothing? Are you afraid to stand by Jesus Christ? Are you afraid to draw near to the Living God because you know you are not righteous? But what does God himself say about the unrighteousness of man. Matthew 4:8 “Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded. ” amongst the weeping and moaning and crying for your sins, Matthews gives you the answer in 4:10 “Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.”

Yet today people would never tell you this. Humble yourself before God, weep and moan and cry for the sins you have committed against the Living God. This is how you draw close to God. Purify your heart and love God, stand firm in your belief. Yet always being humble and peaceful. Speak wisdom meekly, always speak the truth of the Living God.

God will forgive if you can understand what you have done. If you can come to that point where you see sin everywhere you look then you will know that you are drawing close to God. The world looks uglier, your sins look uglier but you feel closer to the righteousness of God because you too can now see. The Creator calls us, he whispers in our ear, he puts people in our path to draw us to his righteousness. Stumbling blocks are put there to build our weakness into strength. Firm and solid belief is necessary, unwavering in the face of doubts, or attacks by others. Yet meekness and peace are the foundation of wisdom and seeking the righteousness of God is faith.

We can never be righteous. We are not saved. We may have faith, but until the day of the Lord, no human being on earth can truly know if they are saved. “Pray that you are counted worthy” Matthew 4:17 “Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.”

Brothers and Sisters 2 Thessalonias 1:11 “Wherefore also we pray always for you, that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfill all the good pleasure of his goodness, and the work of faith with power.”

Seeking the righteousness of God is the path I have chosen, moving closer to him with each day of existence through understanding of his word. So that I might be found worthy. Will you to follow the path that God lays before you? Or will you refuse to obey? Governments demand you obey, religions demand you obey. God does not demand you obey, he offers you the choice to obey him or obey the demands of the faiths and religions of men.
