Where Will Your Feet Run?
These days of iniquity or sin as people regard or disregard it today are of every generation.
The battles, everyday skirmishes of life. Fighting against our personal iniquity daily, we must as individuals understand that our daily conflicts are only a small part of the great war that is raging between forces of righteousness and unrighteousness. Between those who believe in right. And those who practice evil and they will do as they please no matter what. Moral behavior is a large part of that choice.
As humans, our feet run to many things. Science, astrology, food, drugs, violence, hatred, lies, deception are all part of the “evolution” of moral decline in many people.
Look around you, what do you see. People pretending to be peace-loving, god fearing, and committing violence in protest. Violence is against God.
Isiah 59: 7-15
“7 Their feet run to evil, and they make haste to shed innocent blood: their thoughts are thoughts of iniquity; wasting and destruction are in their paths.
8 The way of peace they know not; and there is no judgment in their goings: they have made them crooked paths: whosoever goeth therein shall not know peace.
9 Therefore is judgment far from us, neither doth justice overtake us: we wait for light, but behold obscurity; for brightness, but we walk in darkness.
10 We grope for the wall like the blind, and we grope as if we had no eyes: we stumble at noonday as in the night; we are in desolate places as dead men.
11 We roar all like bears, and mourn sore like doves: we look for judgment, but there is none; for salvation, but it is far off from us.
12 For our transgressions are multiplied before thee, and our sins testify against us: for our transgressions are with us; and as for our iniquities, we know them;
13 Transgressing and lying against the LORD, and departing away from our God, speaking oppression and revolt, conceiving and uttering from the heart words of falsehood.
14 And judgment is turned away backward, and justice standeth afar off: for truth is fallen in the street, and equity cannot enter.
15 Yea, truth faileth; and he that departeth from evil maketh himself a prey: and the LORD saw it, and it displeased him that there was no judgment.” KING JAMES BIBLE
Q post-2526 says “People are generally good” He is mistaken.
This is a misconception.
10 Behold the day, behold, it is come: the morning is gone forth; the rod hath blossomed, pride hath budded.
11 Violence is risen up into a rod of wickedness: none of them shall remain, nor of their multitude, nor of any of theirs: neither shall there be wailing for them.
Violence in any form is against God. “Speaking oppression and revolt.” Heartfelt words, speaking about oppression and revolt.” This is against God. The Lord demands peace. If you commit a violent protest, you go against God.
There are many ways to protest without committing riotous acts. Committing violence against police and others. Where will you feet run? To every cause that proclaims itself righteous and for the people. Believe it not. People always seem to forget the Lord’s first and most potent warning “Let no man deceive you by any means.”
Violent protest in and of itself it worships of Evil. Even though your heart tells you it is for the right cause. But violence leads you away from God. Ephesians 6: 13 “Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
19 And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel.”
Yet here we sit in a world with unrighteousness pretending to act righteous and the righteous committing violent unrighteous acts.
God is peace, not violence. The right cause or the wrong reason. Violence is a sin. No matter if it is words or stones. No question if it is “for a good cause.” If your feet are not planted in the “Gospel of Peace.” You are walking down the wrong path and moving away from God. Jesus speaks of peace, not violence. This is your choice. Choose violence or peace. Follow Jesus path of reconciliation to God. Or follow the lawless who proclaim they are doing it for your freedom. Freedom is in the faith of Jesus and belief in God.
